When 95.3 The Bear posted a notice for the Little Miss Tuscaloosa Pageant — set for Saturday, November 7, at Hillcrest High School, starting at 8 a.m. — the contact information given was a dedicated pageant email address and this store’s own phone line, (205) 752-7161. The notice pitched it at first-time competitors. That is a different kind of involvement in the west Alabama pageant world than stocking a rack of gowns.
The shop’s own Instagram bio puts the business in order: pageant, prom, special occasions. Pageant is listed first, and the store’s posts follow the same calendar. A dress sale timed to August 1, then, in the shop’s own words after the school year starts, “Hoco and Beauty Walks.” Homecoming and the school-run beauty walks land together in the fall in Alabama, well before prom shopping starts, and a store that leads with pageant work is buying inventory for both ends of that year.
The address on file is the weak link
The phone number is the one constant across every listing. The address is not. This directory has 11496 McPherson Landing Rd; Yelp lists 11504 McPherson Landing Rd; Yellow Pages and a bridal directory both still carry 2415 13th Street; another aggregator has 2312 6th Street, Suite B. The store’s own Facebook page, meanwhile, says: “Our new address is 509 15th street Tuscaloosa.” That is the newest of them and it comes from the shop itself.
McPherson Landing Road is worth understanding before anyone drives it. Real estate listings on that road describe waterfront lots reached by turning off Highway 69 South and running to the end, just short of a boat landing. It is a residential street, not a retail corridor. Call the number first and confirm where to go.
Brands and hours

That mix covers the range a pageant-and-prom shop needs — structured evening gowns on one end, shorter and lower-priced prom and homecoming dresses on the other.
Hours, per the shop’s Instagram bio, are Tuesday through Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. That is a narrow window and it rules out most weekday mornings. Anyone coming in from outside the city should plan the trip around it and confirm by phone, since a small shop’s posted hours shift during peak season.
