Accessibility Statement
Effective October 29, 2026
Top Prom Websites should work for everyone who is shopping for prom, including people who use a screen reader, magnifier, voice control, keyboard-only navigation or other assistive technology. This page explains what we aim for, where we know we fall short, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Those guidelines are the widely used standard for making websites usable by people with disabilities. We have not had an independent audit, so we don't claim full conformance. We build and review pages with these guidelines in mind, and we fix problems as we find them.
What we do
- Pages declare their language and use real headings, lists and landmarks, so screen readers can move through them in order.
- The site works with a keyboard. Menus and other interactive pieces report whether they are open or closed to assistive technology.
- Store logos carry text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Text can be enlarged in your browser without breaking the page, and the layout adjusts to phone, tablet and desktop screens.
- You never need an account, and you never need to share your location. Every "near me" search can also be done by typing a city or zip code.
Known limitations
- Charts and diagrams. Some store and guide pages include small charts, timelines and size scales. We pair them with text that gives the same information, but a few may still be hard to read with a screen reader. Tell us if one is.
- Maps. Map links open Google Maps, which has its own accessibility features and limits. Every store page also lists the city and state in text.
- Other websites. Store pages link to each shop's website, designer sites and other outside pages. We don't control those sites and can't vouch for their accessibility.
- Payments. Featured listing payments run through Stripe's checkout and billing pages, which follow Stripe's own accessibility practices.
Tell us about a problem
If something on the site is hard or impossible for you to use, we want to know. Please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do and, if you can, the device, browser and assistive technology you were using.
- Use our contact form.
- Or email privacy@toppromwebsites.com if the form itself gives you trouble.
We aim to reply within five business days. If you need information from a page in another format, ask and we'll send it to you.
Changes
We'll update this statement as the site changes and as we fix the issues above. The date at the top shows the last revision.
