There are no walk-ins here. Pink Slip Boutique’s own listed store hours read “by appointment only,” and the shop explains it plainly: appointments are how it keeps the floor quiet. Before you drive to 18907 S. Wolf Road, you pick a time slot and a length.
The three shopping appointments are named after shades of pink, and the difference between them is minutes on the clock:
- Blush — 30 minutes
- Fuchsia — 45 minutes
- Hot Pink VIP — one hour, and the shop calls it its most requested. It comes with a T-shirt and a pair of the store’s signature studs, and the slots are limited.
That structure runs through the rest of the operation too. Picking up a finished dress has its own appointment type. So does bridal. When prom slots fill, there is a waitlist form rather than a “stop by and see.” Reschedules and cancellations go through their own forms. If you are the kind of shopper who wants to wander a rack for an hour on a Saturday afternoon with three friends, this is not that kind of store, and it is better to know that in the parking lot than after you arrive.
What’s on the racks
Three prom labels list this store on their official retailer locators: Clarisse, Dave & Johnny and Jovani. Alongside the designer racks, the shop keeps a house-branded Pink Slip Collection and a separate homecoming group, plus bridal. It also books pageant shopping, which matters if the dress you need has to clear a specific set of rules rather than just a school’s dress code.
Two practical notes from the shop itself: accessories are capped at $20 or less, earrings through necklaces, and new dresses arrive almost daily during the prom and homecoming stretch — so a February visit and an April visit are not looking at the same inventory. Alterations are handled through their own contact process, separate from the dress appointment.
Who drives here
Mokena sits in Will County, Illinois, with I-80 along its northern edge and Wolf Road as one of its two main north–south routes, the other being LaGrange Road. The store is on the Wolf Road commercial stretch a couple of blocks south of the clock tower at 187th Street. If you are coming by train instead, Mokena has two Rock Island District stops, Front Street and Hickory Creek; Front Street is 29.6 miles out from LaSalle Street.
The trade area here is Lincoln-Way. District 210 covers 105 square miles across three high schools — Central and West in New Lenox, East in Frankfort — and draws from five elementary districts, Mokena 159 among them, plus Manhattan and slices of Tinley Park, Orland Park and Homer Glen. East alone enrolled 2,728 students in 2023–24. That is a lot of proms concentrated inside a short drive of one Wolf Road storefront, and it is the reason booking early is not a sales tactic in this particular town.
