Most of what happens at this address is weddings. Gowns, samples, discontinued styles, mother-of-the-bride. Prom and formal sit inside that same small operation, and that changes how the shopping works: appointments are one-on-one, you pick a time before you come, and nothing about the setup suggests a big-box prom floor.
The hours are the first thing to plan around. Wednesday through Friday the store is open 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday it runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday are appointment-only and Sunday is closed. A weekday visit after last bell is a narrow window; Saturday morning is the realistic slot, and it is the one that fills first in southeastern North Carolina once February hits.
The booking form asks what you are shopping for — wedding dress, formal dress, or mother of the bride. Prom goes under formal. It also asks your size and your budget, and it lets you request either Bethany or Theresa by name. Answering those fields honestly is worth the two minutes, because a shop that pulls dresses for you in advance is only as good as what it knows before you walk in.
The two prom labels
Dave & Johnny and Jessica Angel both list this store on their official retailer locators. They are not interchangeable. Jessica Angel is built almost entirely on fitted stretch-knit gowns, the kind you either want or you don’t. Dave & Johnny is a broader prom line covering more silhouettes. If one of those two names is already saved on a phone somewhere, that is the reason to make this the first stop rather than the fourth. Alongside prom, the store lists formal, pageant, bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride dresses.
Who actually drives here
Oleander Drive is the midtown route out toward Wrightsville Beach, and the shop sits on the far end of it, past Independence, in a multi-suite building it shares with Olympia Restaurant. Parking is on-site, which is not nothing on that stretch of Oleander.
New Hanover County’s public high schools all sit within a short drive: Hoggard is the closest, over on Shipyard Boulevard, with Laney, New Hanover and Ashley all reachable in fifteen minutes or so. UNCW is a mile or two away on College Road, which puts sorority and campus formals in the same customer pool as prom.
The store names its own service area as Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach and Jacksonville. Jacksonville is the interesting one — roughly an hour up US 17, and home to Camp Lejeune. The shop lists military balls and galas next to prom on its formal page, which means the formal rack here answers to two calendars, not one, and the Marine Corps Birthday Ball in November is the busiest date on the second of them.

What you will not get here is a warehouse and a number ticket. What you will get is a scheduled hour, two labels worth checking, and a five-minute walk to a plate of Greek food in the same building afterward.
