Prom is not the main event here. Bridal Novias is a wedding salon first — El Paso’s Gateway Boulevard East, a suite in a strip along the eastbound I-10 frontage road — and the prom rack shares the building with bridal gowns, quinceañera dresses, mother-of-the-bride, bridesmaids and flower girl dresses. Its own listing runs through that whole list, homecoming included. If you have shopped for a cousin’s quince dress in this part of town, you may have already been inside.
That matters more than it sounds. A shop built around weddings is set up for appointments, alterations conversations and gowns that get ordered rather than carried out the same day. A shop built only around prom is set up for volume and off-the-rack. Bridal Novias is the first kind, running prom as one season inside a four-season business.
Where it sits
The address is 6974 Gateway Blvd East, ZIP 79915 — the same ZIP as Bel Air High School on North Yarbrough and Riverside High School on Midway Drive, both Ysleta ISD. Ysleta High on Alameda and Hanks on Lee Trevino are a short drive further out. For families in the Lower Valley and central-east El Paso, this is a stop you pass rather than a trip you plan.
Across the freeway is Bassett Place, El Paso’s original mall, now anchored by Costco, Target, Kohl’s, Burlington and a Premiere Cinemas IMAX. It is the closest major shopping center to El Paso International Airport and the Bridge of the Americas. Shoes, alterations and everything else on the list can be handled in the same afternoon without leaving the I-10 corridor. Be aware that Bridal Novias is a suite, not a storefront you will spot at 65 mph — the same street number houses a Reebok factory outlet in Spaces A–C. Listings put the boutique at suite G or J, so watch the numbers when you pull in.
Prom labels
Three prom and social-occasion brands list Bridal Novias on their official retailer locators: Alyce Paris, Amarra and Dave & Johnny. La Femme also names the store as an authorized retailer. The shop’s own prom catalog is built on Alyce Paris and Colors Dress, with sizes filtered from 000 through 32.
The website says plainly that not every dress shown online is on the floor. Treat the online catalog as a way to arrive with three style numbers written down, not as an inventory list. Call (915) 775-1910 first if a specific dress is the reason for the trip.
Hours worth knowing
Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Sunday hours are the useful part — plenty of formalwear shops in town close on Sunday, and a Sunday afternoon is often the only block when a student and a parent are both free. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments can be booked online. During bridal weekends the floor gets busy, so an appointment buys attention that a Saturday walk-in may not.
The store’s own about page credits president Elodia Adamson with more than 30 years in the business and describes her buying trips as the source of the selection. That is the shop’s account of itself rather than something independently documented, but the range on the floor — bridal through quinceañera through prom, in one room — is consistent with a buyer who covers all of it.
