Angie and Avery started this business in the spring of 2022 and held the ribbon cutting that September. Both were born and raised in Lubbock. In local coverage they described the shop in terms of faith and service rather than fashion, which is worth noting alongside the other fact about the place: a store only a few years old is now on the retailer locators of seven different prom houses.

Prom and homecoming are the center of the inventory. The name says bridal as well, and the shop’s 2022 opening announcement listed wedding gowns along with prom and homecoming dresses.
Who actually drives to a Lubbock dress shop
Lubbock is the retail city for most of the Texas South Plains, and that shapes what a formalwear store here is for. Inside the county, the customers come from Coronado, Monterey, Lubbock High and Estacado in Lubbock ISD; Frenship out in Wolfforth; Lubbock-Cooper and Liberty on the south side; and the private schools, Trinity Christian and Lubbock Christian. Texas Tech is here too, so the customer base is not only high school.
The larger group is everybody outside the city. Shallowater, Idalou, New Deal, Abernathy, Roosevelt, Slaton, Levelland, Littlefield, Brownfield, Tahoka, Post and Plainview all send students into Lubbock to shop, because there is nothing closer. If a family skips Lubbock, the next cities with a comparable selection are Amarillo, about two hours north on I‑27, and Midland–Odessa, about two hours south. That is the real math behind a forty-five-minute drive on a Saturday: it is the short trip, not the long one.
The season here
Homecoming comes first. Late September into October, and in Texas it is a two-part expense — the dress and the mum. The dress end of it starts moving in September. Prom in this part of the state clusters in April, well ahead of Northeastern proms, which means the useful shopping window opens in January and February and the good gowns in popular sizes are gone by March. Anything needing alterations needs more lead time than that.
One practical note about April on the Llano Estacado: the wind is a factor in getting a garment bag from a parking lot to a car, and that is not a joke about the weather so much as a reason to bring a second set of hands.
Before you make the drive
The address on file for this store is 4517 50th Street, on one of Lubbock’s main east-west arterials. Local coverage from 2022 put the shop at 4511 34th Street, and several third-party listings still show that older address. The two are not close together. Call (806) 763-9007 and confirm where to go before you leave, particularly if you are coming in from out of town — and ask about hours at the same time, since the only published hours found were from 2022 and predate the address change.
