Where to Buy Mac Duggal Prom Dresses

Mac Duggal and Ieena share one size run, 0 to 30, and there is no 00. One catch: the brand's mission page says its designs fit 0 to 24, so 30 is the outer limit, not a promise for any one style.

What a given prom style comes in is narrower, as the ruler shows:

Caught between two sizes? Try both at the shop. Mac Duggal's advice: "you may pick the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for more relaxed fit." On a beaded trumpet gown, tight is the point.

There is no stand-alone plus label. Plus gowns sit in a Plus Size category, and they run shorter than the full range: in a sample of 250, nearly all reached 20, but only about four in ten reached 24. A handful go to 26 through 30. The good news is the price. A bigger size doesn't cost more here. Across about 840 Mac Duggal listings, every dress cost the same in every size.

Mac Duggal costs less than its red-carpet reputation suggests. At full price, the median prom style costs about $500, and nearly all come in at $800 or less. Which of the three names is on the tag matters most:

Ieena for Mac Duggal runs $258 to $798, with a median of $458. Its cheapest is a $258 chiffon halter, style 67816. The main Mac Duggal line runs $338 to $998, median $598. The five Mac Duggal Collection pieces are $1,298 to $1,498, among them heavily embellished styles 69189 and 11830. One large prom retailer lists its prom-type Mac Duggal at $249 to $1,498, with a median of $598.

Shopping for a younger sister too? The brand also makes a girls' line, sized 4 to 14, at $198 to $358.

A gown cut this close is one to try on first. Mac Duggal's verified retail partners are on its store locator. At a shop you can feel the weight of the beading and see where a trumpet skirt flares on you, not on a model.

Returns depend on where you buy. The brand sets no policy for a gown bought in a store, so the store's terms are the only ones that count. Mac Duggal publishes no special-order time for shops either, so ask yours for a date in writing.

Expect older line names in some shops. Stores still list Black White Red, Cassandra Stone, Flash, Royalty, Twelve and Fabulouss, though the brand now sells under just three names. Two of those old labels were made for plus-size prom. In August 2011, the trade site Fibre2Fashion reported that Mac Duggal's Fall 2012 catalog, more than 500 pages thick, introduced Cassandra Stone II and Fabulous, cut for teens and young women in 14W to 30W. "Beautiful girls come in all sizes," Mac Duggal said, "so that's why we create plus size dresses." Shops now spell the second one Fabulouss. Whatever name is on the rack, ask for the style number.

Mac Duggal announces no release date, but it keeps to a pattern. New prom styles go up from December through March, and January is the busiest month.

So most of the new collection is in view by February, which leaves time to try styles on and book alterations before a spring prom.

Two TV appearances have dates attached. According to WornOnTV, a site that identifies outfits seen on air, Carrie Underwood wore a powder-blue floral embroidered tulle midi dress by Mac Duggal on American Idol on April 21, 2025. The same site credits Melissa McCarthy with a floral chiffon ruffled Mac Duggal gown on Good Morning America on April 25, 2023.

The rest comes from the company. Mac Duggal says it has dressed Gwyneth Paltrow, Vanessa Hudgens, Kylie Jenner, Eva Longoria and Khloe Kardashian, and it cites "hundreds of awards" and the 2017 Smithsonian induction. We couldn't confirm those independently.
