The address does most of the work here. Bridal & Gift Gallery sits at 123 Love Avenue in downtown Tifton, with Cole’s Cakery next door — close enough that the bakery supplied the cookies when the shop held its chamber ribbon-cutting in January 2022. This is a downtown storefront, not a strip-center unit off the interstate, which means you park on the street and walk in.
The store is not originally from Tifton. Owner Betty Manaugh started the business in Moultrie, about thirty miles southwest, and moved it up to Tifton around 2014. By the time the Tifton Gazette covered the ribbon-cutting, she had been part of downtown for close to a decade, and a manager described the shop as being in the middle of prom and bridal season at the same time. That overlap is the honest picture of how a store like this runs in south Georgia: February through April, one floor is serving brides and juniors looking for a prom gown on the same afternoon.
One store, two names
If you search for it, expect some confusion. The business is listed with brands and directories as Bridal & Gift Gallery, but its Facebook and Instagram accounts run as Bridal and Formal on Love. Same address, same phone. Worth knowing before you decide the shop has closed or that there are two of them.
What the labels tell you
These brands list the store on their own retailer locators:
- Jovani and Mac Duggal — the heavily beaded, high-shine end of the prom market, and the names most students recognize from Instagram
- Alyce Paris, Clarisse, Tiffany Designs and Jasz Couture — the core prom houses, with long size runs and a range of silhouettes
- Dave & Johnny — shorter dresses and simpler long styles, the label that usually shows up at more moderate price points
- Faviana and Mon Cheri also list the shop on their store finders, Mon Cheri for its mother-of-the-bride lines
It is also a Jim’s Formal Wear dealer, so a tuxedo can be measured and ordered in the same visit as the dress — useful if a couple would rather not make two separate trips into town.
Who it serves
Tift County High School, out on Blue Devil Way, is the anchor. It competes in the top GHSA classification, which means a big senior class and a prom where nobody wants to see their dress twice. Tiftarea Academy, the GISA school in Chula founded in 1969, brings a second, smaller prom on a different calendar. The store’s own listings name Omega, Ty Ty, Chula and Brookfield in its service area, which is the shape of a Tift County trade radius: a county of about 41,000 people where the county seat is the place you drive to for anything you cannot buy at home.
Tifton is roughly the midpoint of I-75 between Atlanta and the Florida line, and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College is in town. That interstate position cuts both ways — it makes Tifton an easy stop for families coming from smaller counties, and it makes bigger cities an easy drive for anyone who wants to shop somewhere else first.

Published hours do not agree across listings. The 2022 newspaper write-up had the shop open 9:30 to 6 Monday through Saturday; the Yelp listing shows an earlier weekday close and no Sunday hours.
