The address reads 6978 Cypress Creek Pkwy, Suite A. Anyone who grew up in the Champions area will tell you 1960. Harris County added the Cypress Creek Parkway designation to FM 1960 between Aldine-Westfield and Highway 249 as a rebranding effort introduced in 2010, and the original name stayed in place for mail and for most people who drive it. Same road, two names. Panache sits on it, under a mile east of where 1960 crosses Highway 249 at Willowbrook Mall.
That stretch of northwest Harris County is one of the denser high school clusters in this part of Texas, and the shop is roughly equidistant from two of the biggest campuses. Klein Forest High School, at 11400 Misty Valley Drive, enrolled 3,453 students in 2023–24 and sits about two miles east. Cypress Creek High School, on Grant Road in Cy-Fair ISD, enrolled 3,239 and sits about two miles west. Klein High is four miles north on Stuebner Airline. Two districts, separate prom nights, and a lot of juniors and seniors within a fifteen-minute drive of the same front door.
The labels
Four prom houses list Panache on their own retailer locators: Alyce Paris, Clarisse, Jovani and Tiffany Designs. Faviana lists the store as well. Jovani and Alyce cover both the beaded fitted end and the ballgown end of the market, and Tiffany Designs runs long and formal, which is the register most Houston-area proms are dressed at.
Prom is not the only season here. The store runs bridal, quinceañera and homecoming departments out of the same building. That combination is not incidental in northwest Houston: quinceañera work is a year-round business in this part of the city, and homecoming in Texas means a dress that has to be worn with a mum, which is a different problem from a Northeastern homecoming and something a shop on this corridor deals with every September.
Before you drive out there
- Hours are Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Closed Sunday.
- The store’s website lets you filter by size and price and limit results to in-store stock, so you can check whether your size is physically on the rack before making the trip up 249 or in off the Beltway.
- Call (281) 580-0066 first. The site’s standing instruction is to call to schedule an appointment; the shop’s Facebook posts have indicated appointment booking applies to bridal.
- Alterations are handled in house. That comes up repeatedly in customer reviews across The Knot and WeddingWire, mostly from brides, and it is the practical reason to buy from a full-service shop rather than a mall rack or a website.
What the shop claims, and what it does not publish
Panache describes itself as having passed 25 years in business and as occupying a three-story building. Both are the store’s own descriptions of itself, repeated in its marketplace listings; neither could be independently confirmed. It does not publish prom price ranges anywhere online, so budget is a phone-call question, not a website question. One reviewer’s advice that afternoons get busy is worth taking seriously in March and April, when the same two thousand-plus-senior high schools two miles in either direction are all shopping at once.
If you are coming from Tomball, Spring or Humble, this is a reachable stop on a road you already use. If you are coming from inside the Loop, understand what you are driving to: an older commercial corridor of strip retail and standalone buildings that the Houston Northwest Chamber has spent years working to revitalize. The shop is a suite in it, not a mall storefront.
