Anita Seraichyk competed in her first pageant at age 8. Years later, unable to find a pageant store in New England that understood the stage, she opened her own, and Infusion Boutique still carries that origin in nearly everything it does. Bridal, mothers' gowns, social occasion and prom came after pageant, as the founder's page tells it, and the same judgment about how a gown reads under lights and from across a room now goes into prom appointments.
The results she points to are specific. The store's pageant winners page lists dozens of state and national titleholders dressed by Infusion, and the founder page names Chhavi Verg, first runner-up at Miss USA, Caroline Parente, fourth runner-up at Miss America, and Elizabeth Pierre, second runner-up at Miss America. The pageant page calls the shop New England's premier pageant wardrobe experts, and a prom shopper gets the benefit of stylists who are used to dressing contestants for a stage.
The founder page frames the philosophy in one sentence, that "every client deserves to feel celebrated, beautiful, and confident," and the shop backs it with a personal approach that starts with listening to what the client wants. For a nervous junior trying on her first long gown, an hour with a stylist who has dressed state titleholders is a calm way to start.
Prom labels for 2027, plus the pageant houses
The prom menu on the website is already organized around 2027 collections. It lists Alyce Paris, Amarra, Colette by Daphne, Colors, Ellie Wilde, Jessica Angel, Jovani and JVN, Mac Duggal, Rachel Allan, and two plus-size lines, Sydney's Curvy Girls and Tease Plus. The pageant collections add Johnathan Kayne, Jovani Pageant, Mac Duggal Royalty, Rachel Allan Pageant and Sherri Hill Couture, and nothing stops a prom shopper from trying those too.
Every dress is new. The FAQ is firm that the store does not rent gowns, does not do consignment, and does not buy or sell pre-owned dresses; inventory is purchased directly from the designers. Budget shoppers have a standing option, though. The store keeps a sale rack of prom gowns at $250 and under at all times, drawn from previous seasons, and its clearance page has recently listed Ashley Lauren and Blush prom styles at roughly half price.
How appointments and the season work
Weekdays here are a different proposition from Saturdays, and the FAQ lays the system out in detail.
- Monday through Friday, the showroom is 100 percent by appointment, and staff may not be at the store if nothing is scheduled.
- On weekends, walk-ins are taken as availability allows, but an appointment guarantees a stylist and a fitting room.
- Prom appointments are scheduled for one hour, the same as pageant and mothers' appointments.
- There is no appointment fee. In return, the store asks for at least two hours' notice to cancel.
- Layaway is available, and all sales are final, layaway included.
- Alterations are not done in-house. The store recommends several local seamstresses and argues that this keeps alteration costs down.
The timing advice is equally specific. Peak prom season starts right after Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, and the store recommends beginning in January for the best selection, since an early start leaves time to order a style in the right size or color. It also notes that designers have cut production sharply since the pandemic. If there is a particular style you love, the store's advice is not to wait. Anyone shopping on a Saturday between January and March should expect a wait for a fitting room and plan the afternoon around it.
Bald Hill Road and the schools around it
Bald Hill Road is Route 2, Warwick's main shopping strip, and Infusion has its own storefront along it. The store considers its spot central enough to draw from nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut as well as from around Kent County, Rhode Island. Warwick's two public high schools, Toll Gate and Pilgrim, are the hometown audience. East Greenwich High, Coventry High, West Warwick High and Exeter-West Greenwich Regional are all within the store's everyday reach, and Cranston students come down from the north.
One house rule surprises families who have not shopped here before, and the store states it on more than one page. The contact page spells it out, with no exception for seniors who have already turned 18.
