Two high schools, one set of racks
Gillette sends two big proms out of one town each spring, Campbell County High School and Thunder Basin High School, and both pull from the same handful of local racks. Bash.Co Bridal & Formalwear, established in 2023 and now on South Douglas Highway, built its prom floor around that overlap. The shop sells prom gowns in stock only. Nothing on the prom side is special ordered, the price range runs from $150 to $600, and a dress you find in February goes home with you that afternoon.
The obvious risk with a model like that is two classmates in the same gown. Bash.Co's answer sits near the top of its prom page.
At Bash.Co, every purchased prom gown is registered to your specific school. Once a dress is sold for that school, it's removed from availability for that event.
A Thunder Basin junior and a Campbell County senior can still leave with the same style, because they are headed to different dances. Two girls from the same school cannot. The store also says plainly that inventory is limited to what is physically in the building, so once a style is gone for your school, it is gone.

Gillette is the Campbell County seat, and in northeast Wyoming, where towns sit a long way apart, a same-day, take-it-home model lands well. Stylists help narrow silhouettes, sort out sizing and check the fit while you try things on. Appointments are preferred so a stylist can be set aside for you, and walk-ins are welcome. The shop describes its stock as one of the largest in-stock selections of designer prom gowns in Northeast Wyoming, and the same-day model means no shipping window to worry about in April.
Sizing gets a frank note in the FAQ. Formalwear runs small, often one to three sizes above what someone wears day to day, and the store's advice is to choose by your largest measurement because taking a dress in is far easier than letting it out. Since nothing on the prom side is ordered, that advice matters on the floor: the stylist is matching you to a gown that already exists, not to a chart.
Ambassadors, tuxes and the expo at Cam-Plex
For 2026 the store launched its first Prom Ambassador team. It was open to sophomore, junior and senior girls from Campbell County, Thunder Basin and Moorcroft High School over in Crook County. Ambassadors model gowns for the shop's social media, get first pick of the prom inventory, and hand out a code that saves friends $50 on a gown. Once five friends buy with an ambassador's code, the ambassador's own dress is free. Applications ran from mid-January to February 1, with ambassadors contacted by February 5 to start choosing their own gowns. That calendar is a useful hint for everyone else: in Gillette, prom shopping starts well before spring break, and the in-stock model rewards the early shopper. The pitch on the blog is about keeping prom shopping local, and the prom page adds that the business gives back to local schools and events.

The shop will also take professional measurements for a small fee if someone needs them for an order placed elsewhere.
Alterations are handled by outside seamstresses the store recommends. Fittings with those seamstresses can be scheduled inside Bash.Co, with a consultation fee for the first fitting and payment going to the seamstress directly. All sales are final, which is one more reason the try-on happens in person.
Each January Bash.Co stages a bridal fashion show at the Gillette Wedding Expo in Cam-Plex Equality Hall, recruiting both female and male models for the runway. Bridal appointments carry a fee that is credited toward the gown, but for prom shoppers the in-stock floor is the point. Students coming up Highway 59 from Wright find the store right on the road into town.

Can I special order a prom dress at Bash.Co?
No. Prom is sold from in-store stock, so the gown you try on is the gown you take home, registered to your school.
