The clock is the first thing to know about this shop. Its own posted schedule runs Wednesday through Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with Monday and Tuesday by appointment only and Sunday closed. That is roughly seventeen hours of open-door time a week. The store also says outright that if those hours don’t work, it will set an appointment, and that bridal appointments are requested either way. For a family coming in from Jasper, Yellville or Green Forest, the call ahead is not a courtesy — it is the difference between a fitting and a wasted afternoon.
The address is 816 N. Main Street, Suite E, near Crandall Avenue. Main Street through Harrison is US 65 Business, a 3.4-mile route whose north end meets US 62/65/412 at the top of town, so the shop sits on the north stretch rather than down by the Boone County courthouse square. Anyone driving in from the east or west on 62/412 turns onto Main and arrives without crossing the middle of town.
Whose proms it dresses
Harrison is the county seat and the retail center for a wide piece of the Arkansas Ozarks, and the schools around it are small. Harrison High School, home of the Golden Goblins, enrolled 841 students across grades 9–12 in recent federal data; Bergman High School, north on Highway 7, had 276. Boone County also has Valley Springs, Omaha, Lead Hill and Alpena districts. Add Newton County down the Scenic 7 Byway, Marion County to the east and Carroll County to the west, and a store in Harrison is serving a dozen one-prom-a-year high schools rather than one big one. That is why the gown someone buys here is unlikely to turn up twice at the same dance — but also why April Saturdays inside a three-hour window get crowded.
Pageant work is not a sideline here
The Northwest Arkansas District Fairgrounds are in Harrison, and the Boone County and Northwest Arkansas District Fair pageant is held there in late August each year, with divisions running from babies through age 75 and two queens crowned per division. Contestants have come from Baxter, Boone, Carroll, Madison, Marion and Newton counties. A Lorraine lists pageant as one of its main departments alongside prom, which fits a town that hosts the district-level competition.

If the name looks unfamiliar
This is the address that was Rebekah Lane Formal Wear; the Harrison Daily reported that business expanding into 816 N. Main, and several directories still carry the listing as “Rebekah Lane is now A Lorraine Formal Wear.” The shop’s Instagram account states it is under new ownership. Old reviews attached to the location may describe a different operation than the one there now.
The alternative is a highway trip
Mountain Home is about 48 road miles east on US 62/412, close to an hour. Branson is 34 miles north on US 65. Arkansas’s state tourism office puts Northwest Arkansas National Airport — and by extension the Rogers and Fayetteville shopping corridor — at 90 minutes away. Buying in Harrison means the alterations happen in the same building as the purchase, four miles from most of the county’s driveways instead of two hours round trip.
