Most prom shops are a destination you drive to on purpose. This one is a mall tenant. NVME Clothing sits in Suite 227 at 14500 W. Colfax Ave. in Lakewood, Colorado — inside Colorado Mills, which Simon Property Group describes as the Denver metro area’s only indoor outlet mall, with more than 160 stores. That changes the shape of a gown trip. You park in a mall lot, walk in past outlet chains, and find the Terani and Jasz racks in an in-line storefront rather than a private salon. Check the mall map on the way in and look for 227.
The corner of the metro it serves
Colorado Mills opened in 2002 on the Lakewood side of the Golden line, at the point where 6th Avenue and I-70 come together about seven miles west of downtown Denver. Simon names Lakewood, Golden, Denver and Arvada as the communities it draws from. Geography does the rest: this is the last mall you pass coming down I-70 out of the canyon, which puts it in range of families driving in from the Evergreen area, Idaho Springs and Georgetown as easily as from Wadsworth or Kipling.
The Jefferson County high schools closest to the door are Green Mountain, which enrolled about 1,080 students in 2023–24, and Golden and Lakewood high schools. Bear Creek, at roughly 1,400 students, Alameda International, which runs grades 7 through 12, and Wheat Ridge are all a short drive further out. Two dresses from the same school showing up in the same building is a live risk here, which is worth raising at the counter.
What is actually on the racks
Two labels are confirmed through the designers’ own retailer locators: Jasz and Terani. Jovani’s retailer page also lists the Colfax address. The store’s own catalog splits Terani into prom, pageant, homecoming and mother-of-the-bride groupings, so the gown side of the business is not prom-only.
The catalog also carries dedicated quinceañera and damas sections across several labels. In a city where roughly a fifth of residents are Hispanic or Latino, that is a straightforward part of the business rather than a sideline. Alongside the gowns, the store sells shorter party dresses, jumpsuits, shoes, shapewear, hair extensions and its own nv|me beauty and lash lines, plus an Andrea Meza activewear collection. One stop can cover a gown, jewelry and lashes; it also means formalwear shares floor space with everyday clothing, so the gown selection you see in person may be narrower than the website suggests.

Call (303) 590-1771 first and ask about the things that are not documented anywhere public:
- Whether a specific Jasz or Terani style is physically in the store, in your size, or ships from a warehouse
- In-store return and deposit terms — the published refund policy covers online orders, and shop terms on special-occasion gowns are often different
- Whether they keep a record of which gown went to which school
- Alterations — whether that is handled in house or referred out
Hours are the mall’s, not a boutique’s: Simon posts 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a shorter Sunday, though individual tenants set their own. The store’s Facebook page shows 88 percent of 43 reviewers recommending it and lists in-store pickup. If the trip is going to eat an afternoon, the mall has a dining pavilion plus Yard House, 5280 Burger Bar and Guapo Taco, and downtown Golden is a few minutes west.
