Reign Prom Boutique registers every gown it sells to your prom

Prom gowns from Sherri Hill, Ava Presley and Jasz Couture in Palm Beach Gardens, each registered to your prom so no classmate buys the same dress there.

No two shoppers from the same dance should walk out of Reign in the same dress. That rule sits at the center of this Palm Beach Gardens shop, and it shapes everything from when you should start looking to how the fitting rooms work. Reign recently moved south from its old Jupiter storefront to a new space on U.S. 1 in Palm Beach Gardens, and while the move settles, the shop is booking private appointments rather than open walk-in hours. The racks, the registry and the owner are the same.

That owner is Jaime Converse Estrada. She won Miss Florida USA in 1998, competed on the nationally televised Miss USA stage, and worked for several years as a professional actress and model. She later took the Mrs. Florida America title in 2007. The Reign name dates to that same year, when she opened Reign Fine Apparel in Charlotte, North Carolina, styling young women for pageants, proms and galas. So the boutique has carried the Reign name since 2007, first in the Carolinas and now in southeast Florida.

A pageant résumé behind the prom racks

The store's About page lists the kind of clients most stylists never meet. While running the Charlotte store, Estrada dressed three Miss USA titleholders, a Miss Teen USA, several state titleholders and the winning contestant on ABC's The Bachelor, along with local celebrities and hundreds of young women heading to prom and homecoming. After she returned to Florida in 2013, she turned to interview coaching for pageant contestants, and her bio credits her with coaching four Miss USAs, two Miss Teen USAs and a Mrs. United States.

The Florida shop itself started as a parent's errand gone sideways. When her own daughter needed a prom gown, Estrada spent what felt like months driving around without many options. That search is what convinced her to reopen Reign here, this time built around prom. Her two children went through Jupiter High School and the Dreyfoos School of the Arts, so she knows the local prom calendar from the parent side as well as the sales floor.

That background shows up in the buying. Reign says every piece of inventory is hand picked by the owner, and the shop lists itself as an official retailer for this mix of labels:

Pageant-leaning glamour
Sherri Hill, Ava Presley, Cecilia Couture and Stella Couture.
Prom staples with range
Clarisse, Dave and Johnny, Faviana and Jasz Couture.
Smaller specialty labels
Nox Anabel and Atria Designs.
Only at Reign
Custom designs the boutique says are available only at its store.

If the floor does not have your style, the team will special order from the hundreds of gowns in the lines it carries. Reign also carries cocktail dresses, and it has added gala options plus bridal and mother-of-the-bride gowns, but the store was built around prom and still runs that way.

The shop claims the best selection of gowns in all of Palm Beach, Martin and Indian River Counties. Its own site points to shoppers from Jupiter, Stuart and West Palm Beach. On the Palm Beach County side, that means students from Palm Beach Gardens Community High School, William T. Dwyer High School, Jupiter High and Suncoast Community High School in Riviera Beach. North over the Martin County line, Martin County High School and South Fork High School both send families down U.S. 1 for spring shopping.

How the registry and the fitting room actually work

Reign registers each dress it sells to the event the buyer is attending. Once a gown is on your school's list, the boutique will not sell that same dress to another girl going to that prom. The shop also keeps a verified list of the gowns it has sold and will share it on request, and it encourages shoppers to ask any other boutique they visit for the same courtesy.

The practical upshot is timing. The registration list fills with other shoppers' choices as prom gets closer, so the store strongly recommends starting early. A December or January appointment sees more of the racks than a late-March one, simply because fewer styles are spoken for.

Fitting rooms hold four gowns at a time. The staff uses that limit to keep a try-on focused, pulling the next round once you have ruled out the first. Photos are allowed, and if you post them the shop asks you to tag @ReignPromBoutique. Payment runs through all major credit cards, Apple Pay and Venmo, and the store can email an invoice for any item.

Every sale is final. Reign says it never sells a gown that has previously been purchased, which keeps each dress in new condition when it leaves the store. Special orders come with a delivery date from the manufacturer, and since shipping is out of the boutique's hands, that date cannot be guaranteed. Leave room in the calendar for it.

The boutique is also taking applications for its 2027 team of Faviana Reign Prom Boutique Ambassadors. The program is open to juniors and seniors at local schools with a strong social media presence, and no modeling experience is required. For a student who already spends prom season posting outfit ideas, it is a way to get involved with the shop before her own dance.

We want you to be the Queen of the ball and as such you shouldn't find other attendees with the exact same dress who have also shopped with us.

That line opens the gown registration section of Reign's store policies, and it is the promise the whole operation is built to keep.

Reign Prom Boutique questions from Palm Beach Gardens families

Can I just stop in, or do I need to book?

Right now, book. The store's contact page says that while it moves into the new Palm Beach Gardens location it is accepting private appointments only, with regular walk-in shopping to return at a later date. Use the request form on the site to suggest a date and time.

Will someone else at my prom have my dress?

Not if they bought it at Reign. Every gown sold is registered to the buyer's event, and the store will not sell the same style to another shopper attending that prom. Ask to see the list for your school when you come in.

Does Reign carry Sherri Hill?

Yes. Sherri Hill is first on the shop's list of designers it is an official retailer for, alongside Ava Presley, Clarisse, Dave and Johnny, Faviana, Jasz Couture and several smaller couture labels.
