Independent formalwear usually lives in a strip plaza with its own parking lot. This one does not. Suite 3030 at 1245 Worcester Street is a unit inside Natick Mall, which at roughly 1.7 million square feet of leasable space and more than 200 tenants is the largest enclosed mall in New England. BelleRoom by Aria Couture is the shop in that building with Jovani and Alyce Paris on the rack — both designers list the Natick address on their own retailer locators.
That changes the shape of the trip. A gown appointment here is not a separate errand; it is folded into a mall the family probably already drives to. It also means the store competes inside its own walls. Windsor is in the same mall for the lower price tier, and the Macy’s and Nordstrom dress departments anchor either end of it. None of those carry the designer prom labels BelleRoom does.
Where this sits in the Golden Triangle
Natick Mall is positioned between Route 9 and Route 30, immediately off the Mass Pike, in the retail district locals and planners both call the Golden Triangle — about three square miles straddling the Natick–Framingham line, anchored by Natick Mall on one side of Route 9 and Shoppers World on the other. It is the second-largest shopping district in Massachusetts after downtown Boston, and the mall puts Boston itself 25 miles off.
The practical upshot for a dress trip: Speen Street and the Route 9 approaches are the busiest stretch of road in MetroWest on a Saturday afternoon. A weekday visit is a different experience than a weekend one.
The schools that feed it
Brookfield’s own leasing description names the trade area plainly: Framingham, Natick, Wellesley, Needham and Wayland, plus eastern Middlesex County. In prom terms that is Natick High on West Street, Framingham High, Wellesley High, Needham High and Wayland High, all inside a short drive.
Framingham matters here beyond its size. It holds the largest Brazilian community in the state — the Boston Globe put the figure at 6,000 or more, and one South Framingham census tract has been measured at over half Brazilian. Formal season in this trade area is not only spring prom. The listing for this store covers bridal, homecoming, evening and special occasion alongside prom, and the previous formalwear tenant at this same mall address advertised balls and bat mitzvahs in the same breath as prom dresses.
Before the drive
- Hours run late. The shop’s own Instagram lists noon opening — noon to 7 Monday through Thursday, noon to 8 Friday and Saturday, noon to 6 Sunday. The mall itself opens hours earlier. An early-morning trip will find the gate down.
- No website on file. Calling (781) 755-3524 is the way to check stock or ask about an appointment.
- There is a second store. The same business operates a BelleRoom at Burlington Mall, off Route 128 north of the city.
- Timing. Jovani’s own retailer guidance for Massachusetts puts prom between April and June and recommends shopping January through March, before popular styles are gone in a size.
The alternatives, honestly
MetroWest is not underserved. Jovani’s state list also includes Lady Black Tie in Hudson and Amari Prom in Littleton out along the 495 belt, The Ultimate on Providence Highway in Dedham to the southeast, and L’Elite on Newbury Street in Boston. Any of those is a plausible second stop. What Natick has that they do not is the rest of the mall — shoes, alterations-adjacent errands and a food court in the same building as the gown.
