Who runs it
Blaine and Corie Walters got engaged in 2011, could not find one place in the area to dress themselves and their wedding party, and opened The Bride & Groom in January 2012. They bought House of Tux, a Columbus tuxedo business since 1973, folded it into the new store and moved everything into a building in the historic downtown. Corie came out of pageant competition; the store credits that background as part of why it exists. Both of them are still the contacts listed with Main Street Columbus, the downtown nonprofit that has been working this district since 1985.
The tuxedo half is the practical reason a couple can do the whole night in one stop: dresses at Main Street, the date’s measurements taken by the same business a short walk away. Tuxedo measurements are handled at the Fifth Street South store, which is closed the day The Prom Shop opens — Friday and Saturday are the only two days both are unlocked at once.

This is a walkable grid of old commercial buildings, not a strip center off the highway, so budget a little time to find a space and a little more to look around.
