US 72 is the Corinth–Iuka road across this part of northeast Mississippi, and Burnsville sits almost exactly at the midpoint — about 14 miles from Corinth, about 9 from Iuka. MS 365 runs north out of town toward MS 25 near Pickwick Lake and south to MS 30 at Burton in Prentiss County. That road, in both directions, is roughly the shape of the store’s trade area.

Two prom labels list this address on their own retailer locators: Jovani, the New York house founded in 1983, and Jasz. Those are national prom-and-pageant lines, and carrying them in a town this size means the buying is aimed at a county, not a block.
The store’s own description leads with a different name: Ann Northington, the pageant-wear house out of Vernon, Alabama. That is a pageant credential rather than a prom one, and it tells you what kind of customer keeps a shop like this open between proms. Twin Oaks is also a Jim’s Formal Wear affiliated rental store, so tuxedos are handled in the same building as the gowns — which matters when a couple would otherwise be splitting the errand between two towns.
The schools that fill the racks
Burnsville children attend Burnsville Elementary, a K–8 campus on Washington Street, and then go on to high school elsewhere in the county. The Tishomingo County School District runs seven campuses, and only two of them graduate seniors: Tishomingo County High School on Highway 72 in Iuka, and Belmont School, a K–12 on the east side of the county. Between them they cover the whole county. That means a short, concentrated formal season here — two proms rather than ten — with Corinth and the rest of Alcorn County another quarter hour up 72, and Booneville and Prentiss County reachable straight down 365.

If you are coming for pageant work rather than prom, say so on the call; the Northington side of the business is the part that no listing page explains.
