The history explains that range. Robert Brache started the shop with his brother Rafael in 1971 as a collection of bohemian art wear, and over the decades it became what the store calls the premiere destination for designer evening wear. Getting there is easy from most of northern Westchester. The shop is on North Bedford Road with its own parking lot, and the store notes it is reachable by Bee-Line bus and by train to Mount Kisco, which helps a junior without a license yet. Fox Lane High School, the Bedford Central district's high school, is the big local prom, and Horace Greeley in Chappaqua, John Jay in Cross River and Byram Hills in Armonk are the other big names in this corner of the county.
