GK Couture started with prom and built outward from there. A mom and daughter opened it in College Station in 2022 out of a love for fashion and all things prom, in their words, and its site presents it as the newest designer prom and special occasion boutique in Bryan and College Station. Prom is the main event here. Homecoming, pageant and dresses for mothers fill the remaining racks.
The goal, as the owners describe it, is a personal and enjoyable experience for shoppers and the guests they bring. First-time formal shoppers and seasoned ones get the same pitch: this should be a fun and memorable day.
Designers and what to expect at the register
The designer list is short and prom-focused: Ashley Lauren, Jovani, JVN, La Femme, Primavera Couture and Sherri Hill. Sherri Hill leads the homepage, with a run of spring 2026 styles featured as current favorites, and Primavera and La Femme sit alongside it as featured lines.
GK's FAQ covers sizes, price and payment up front. Sizes run 00 to 18 in store, and larger sizes can be ordered. Dresses start at $200 and generally land at $400 to $450.

Saw a style on GK's social media or website that is not hanging on Harvey Road? Staff will try to order it. When a style is in stock with the designer, it normally arrives in 7 to 10 days, per the shop, and online orders ship with free shipping.
Harvey Road's mix of high school and A&M shoppers
Harvey Road is a busy stretch of College Station, and the shop serves both high school and Texas A&M shoppers. College Station High School and A&M Consolidated are the closest big campuses, with Bryan High and Rudder High across the city line in Bryan. Homecoming and pageant shoppers from across the Brazos Valley of Texas come through too, and several posted testimonials come from shoppers planning a return trip for their next formal or cocktail event.
Appointments are not required for prom, but booking ahead helps on busy spring weekends. The appointment form asks for your event date, the number of people coming and a budget, so staff can prepare options in your range. There is comfortable seating for three guests, so a parent and two friends can weigh in on every gown. Over the summer, appointments are available by request only.
