Same storefront at 312 East Main Street, same phone number, two names in circulation. The shop’s own website and its entry in the Cabot Area Chamber of Commerce directory both read Once Upon A Dress. The footer of that same website, the Instagram handle and most third-party listings still say A Little Formal & More. Either name reaches (501) 804-9902.
The address has moved once too. Older listings, including the chamber’s own directory index, still show a suite on South Second Street south of downtown. The current one is East Main, a few blocks off the older commercial spine of Cabot, in Lonoke County, central Arkansas. Anyone navigating from a saved pin from a year ago should check it against the Main Street address first.
Who this shop is for
Cabot Public Schools enrolls a little over 10,000 students PreK through 12 and covers Cabot, Ward and Austin, so a single district feeds most of this store’s prom traffic. Cabot High School holds grades 10 through 12 on one campus, which means one very large junior-senior prom, and the practical consequence of that is duplicate dresses. A shop this size can track who bought what; a department store two counties away cannot.
Military families are a real part of that mix. Cabot Public Schools was the first district in Arkansas to earn the Arkansas Purple Star award — a designation for schools that support military-connected students — across all of its campuses, and Little Rock Air Force Base sits down US 67/167 in Jacksonville. The store’s own description of its business lists military balls in the same breath as prom, weddings and father-daughter dances, which is what that customer base looks like from behind a counter.

Beyond prom, the shop stocks bridal, bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride, flower girl and girls’ pageant dresses, homecoming, and quinceañera gowns, which get their own section of its catalog. It also does men’s suits, boys’ suits and tuxedo rentals in the same building — the reason a couple can settle both halves of a prom outfit in one stop instead of renting a tux somewhere else.
It is a two-job operation. The owners, Nanci and Jeremy, opened the store as something separate from their day work; she works full time in a lab, he works for MEMS, the ambulance service out of Little Rock. That is worth knowing mainly because it explains the hours. Appointments can be booked through the store’s website, and weekday openings have historically run afternoon into evening rather than 9 to 5.
The alternative
From Cabot, the default fallback is a drive south on 67/167 to the Little Rock and North Little Rock stores, and for some families it has been a much longer haul than that. A Yelp reviewer’s framing of this shop was to try it before committing to Little Rock or Dallas. That is the calculation this store exists to change: whether the dress is worth an interstate day or a fifteen-minute errand on Main Street.
