There is no window display here. The listings all say the same thing — 312 Fifth Ave, Fl 5 — and that fifth floor is the whole point. The gowns are upstairs in an office building on the west side of Fifth Avenue, on the block between 31st and 32nd Streets, and the way in is a lobby and an elevator. Nobody wanders in from the sidewalk by accident. People come because they looked the place up first.
That address does a lot of work. Penn Station is about a ten-minute walk west, which puts the showroom inside one train ride from Nassau and Suffolk counties and from most of the NJ Transit map. The PATH terminal at 33rd Street and Sixth Avenue is a single avenue block away, so Hoboken and Jersey City are closer to this fifth floor than most of upstate New York is to anything. Herald Square, three blocks north, stacks the B, D, F, M, N, Q, R and W lines under one station, which covers Brooklyn and Queens without a transfer. For a family in the outer boroughs or the near suburbs, a dress appointment here is a subway or commuter-rail trip, not a drive and a parking problem.

B & B Couture carries Clarisse and Jasz Couture, both of which list this address on their own retailer locators. Its own Facebook page describes the business as covering prom, weddings, pageants, gala and evening dresses — a pageant-and-prom mix rather than a bridal shop that keeps a rack of prom gowns in back. The owner of record is Blair Berisha, per the Better Business Bureau profile, which also lists the suite as Floor 5.
Public listings put the hours at 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, closed Monday, and the shop works on appointments. Yelp’s review highlights suggest the rule bends — several reviewers describe calling the same day and being fit in anyway — but in February and March, when the Clarisse and Jasz prom stock is moving, calling first is the difference between a fitting room and a wasted trip up the elevator.
The store’s own domain currently loads a coming-soon page. The working catalog is its social accounts, where the Instagram following runs past 329,000 — a national audience for a business that still sells one appointment at a time in a Manhattan office building.
The rest of the trip
The ground floors around the building are Koreatown. West 32nd Street between Fifth and Broadway — Korea Way — runs half a block from the door and is dense with Korean restaurants, bakeries and karaoke rooms, much of it upstairs too, and much of it open late. The Empire State Building is two blocks north at 34th, and the Herald Square shopping strip starts right behind it. An afternoon appointment can reasonably end with dinner on 32nd Street before the train home.
One practical note: this is a commercial office building, so the elevator lobby, not a storefront, is what confirms you are in the right place. Ask about alterations and price ranges on the phone when booking. Those vary by gown and are not something a listing can tell you.
