The store’s own Instagram bio lists both, with the Troy phone number first and roughly 53,000 followers attached to the single shared account.
That matters practically, not romantically. There is no website on file for this store — Jovani’s official retailer locator lists the Troy address and phone with no site to click through to. The phone and the Instagram feed are the catalog. If you want to know whether a particular style is on the floor this week, you call or you message.
Where it actually is
The shop is on Rochester Road a short way north of Big Beaver, on one of Troy’s busiest retail stretches — commercial leasing listings for the neighboring plazas put roughly 48,000 to 50,000 vehicles a day on that road. This is strip-retail Troy, not mall Troy: private lots, curb cuts, a monument sign. Searches sometimes still file the business under Sterling Heights, where the older listings sit; one reviewer refers to the Rochester Road address as the new location.
The labels
Three brands are confirmed through the designers’ own retailer locators: Jovani, Terani Couture and Jessica Angel. That is a fitted, heavily beaded, going-out-in-Metro-Detroit kind of rack — the same designers that show up at engagement parties and weddings across a county that is home to the largest Chaldean population anywhere outside Iraq, more than 187,000 people across Oakland and Macomb by the count cited in the Michigan House this year. Prom is the spring rush, but these labels do not stop working in June.
What customers describe, and what to ask
Reviews left on aggregator sites mention a “VIP room” holding one-of-a-kind gowns, where photography is not permitted. Another reviewer notes that dresses on the floor were not marked with prices. Neither is unusual for a designer prom store protecting exclusives, but it changes how you shop:
- Ask the price of each gown before it goes on, not after.
- Ask whether the dress you love is the floor sample you take home or a special order, and get the delivery date in writing.
- Ask who does alterations, since a fitted Jovani almost always needs them and the shop’s own alteration policy is not documented anywhere reliable.
One more thing a parent should know: the Better Business Bureau opened a file on Tevam Troy in mid-2025 and currently shows a D+ rating tied to an unanswered complaint. That is a single complaint, not a pattern, but it is a reason to keep your receipt and your order terms on paper.
Who this store is near
Both Troy district high schools are inside a few miles — Troy High on Northfield Parkway, with just over 2,000 students, and Athens on John R, with about 1,470, and the two are each other’s listed rival. Rochester Hills, Sterling Heights, Madison Heights and Clawson are all a ten- to fifteen-minute drive. Mapping data also puts two other dress boutiques, The Edge and Zain Boutique, within about a mile, which makes a single afternoon on this corridor worth more than one stop.
