Quinceañera is a real part of the business
The shop’s quinceañera section is not a token category. Getting there, and who else is in the building
Willowbrook sits at the knot where Interstate 80, U.S. 46, and Route 23 meet, which is the reason nearly every town in northern New Jersey can reach it in twenty minutes and also the reason a Saturday in April is a slow crawl through the lot. The mall opened in 1969, holds more than 130 stores across about 1.5 million square feet, and parks 8,000 cars. Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, and JCPenney anchor it.
It is also a bus destination, which matters if the shopper does not drive yet. The Willowbrook Mall park-and-ride is served by NJ Transit’s 191, 193, 194, 195, 197, and 198 lines, and local route 712 runs Hackensack–Paterson–Totowa–Willowbrook. A junior from Paterson can get here and back without a parent driving.
Worth knowing before you commit the trip: Windsor operates in this same mall. If you want a chain fitting room and a chain price, it is a hundred steps away. Prom4less is the designer-authorized option in the building. If you want to compare against another Amarra retailer the same afternoon, La Belle Couture is in Totowa, the next town over.
The schools this store sits among
Wayne runs two public high schools that spend the whole year measuring themselves against each other: Wayne Hills on Berdan Avenue and Wayne Valley on Valley Road, each with about 1,200 students, listed as rivals in every write-up of either one. DePaul Catholic is on Alps Road. And two miles from the mall, on Reinhardt Road, is Passaic County Technical Institute — a county-wide magnet with more than 3,400 students, drawing from Paterson, Passaic, Clifton, Hawthorne, and everywhere else in the county. PCTI alone puts more seniors in the market than both Wayne public schools combined, and its prom pulls from across the county rather than one town.
