The dress and the blowout happen in the same suite here. Couture Haven sells formal wear — prom, homecoming, cocktail, mother-of-the-bride — and runs a full-service salon alongside it, offering hair, makeup, spray tans, lashes and waxing. For a family in North Texas juggling a prom Saturday, that collapses three appointments at three addresses into one.
The shop is new. Co-owners Haylee Haven and Tabitha Haven opened the doors in September 2025, after five years of kicking the idea around and three years of actually building it. Haylee Haven told KAUZ NewsChannel 6 they wanted “to bring a good option for attire and keep it local to our community.” Since opening they have tied the business to local events, including the Hospice Gala, a Meals on Wheels Fashion Night Out, and volleyball tournaments for small businesses.
Keeping it local is not a small claim in Wichita Falls. The city sits about 15 miles from the Red River and the Oklahoma line, roughly 130 miles from Dallas and about the same from Oklahoma City. If you don’t buy in town, the next real designer selection is a highway trip and most of a day.
What’s on the racks
Four brands list this store on their own official retailer locators: Sherri Hill, Jovani, Ashley Lauren and Ava Presley. Their online prom collection carried 197 floor-length styles when we checked, topping out at $1,180. Sherri Hill styles ran around $590; Jovani reached about $1,125. Their catalog also shows Colors gowns. On the other end, short and mini dresses on the site run from roughly $85 to $330 — useful if you are buying a homecoming dress that has to work under a mum, not just a prom gown.

The schools this store sits among
Wichita Falls ISD looks nothing like it did three years ago. Hirschi, Rider and Wichita Falls High School — Old High — all held their last day as high schools in May 2024, and Legacy (Leopards, royal blue and gold) and Memorial (Mavericks, navy and red) opened that August. WFISD now runs two traditional high schools for more than 12,000 students, and it is the largest of the 38 public districts in the North Texas area. Burkburnett, Iowa Park, Holliday and Henrietta ring the city with their own proms on their own calendars.
Texas proms fall between March and May, which puts the serious shopping window in January through March, before the popular styles are gone.

Posted hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday is where the listings disagree: the store’s website says 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., its Facebook page says Saturdays are by appointment only.
