What else is within reach
Sikeston is where I-55 meets the southern terminus of I-57 and U.S. 60, which is why it functions as the errand town for a wide stretch of Scott, New Madrid and Mississippi counties. The nearest larger prom selection is Cape Girardeau, about 34 miles and a 40-minute drive north on I-55, where The Andrew Jackson runs a downtown prom superstore. So Sikeston is a choice rather than a last resort — the argument for staying in town is the one-stop dress-and-tux setup and a 20-minute drive instead of an hour round trip.
