Two doors, two schedules, one family. Emma & Kait's is a mother-daughter-owned shop that now runs as a pair of Jonesboro storefronts, and the one on East Highland Drive is the one built for prom. Bridal and mother's gowns stay over at the Nettleton Avenue store. The Highland Drive shop carries prom, pageant and homecoming, and the homepage points shoppers to it with a banner reading "Visit Our NEW Prom & Pageant Location."

That split shapes everything about a visit. A junior from Nettleton or Valley View who walks into the Highland store is not stepping around veils and bridal fittings to get to the long gowns. The racks are hers, and so is the staff's attention.

The online prom collection runs to several hundred styles, and the brand filter on it names the houses doing the heavy lifting. Amarra has the deepest run, followed by Faviana, Rachel Allan and Clarisse. Jovani sits in the mix along with Aleta, Ellie Wilde, Portia and Scarlett, a few Cinderella Divine pieces and a Colette style. The shop also posts dresses under its own Emma & Kait's name, mostly shorter and party-ready.

Prices on the collection top out around $1,199 for the most built-up gowns. The favorites page for the prom store has also listed past-season Clarisse, Faviana, Aleta and Mon Cheri styles marked down to $49, so the range from bargain rack to beaded showpiece is wider than the label list suggests. Tags on the catalog sort gowns by corsets, high slits, heat stones, sequins and tiered skirts, which is how a lot of prom shoppers in northeast Arkansas already describe what they want.

Homecoming has its own collection, refreshed for 2026, and the pageant tag runs through dozens of the same long gowns. A girl who competes in a local pageant in summer and goes to prom in spring can shop both from the same racks.

Things to know before you buy

Three store policies are worth having in mind on the way over.

With alterations sent out to a tailor, a family planning around an April prom date should leave a few weeks for a fitting after purchase.

The shop has also added professional color analysis, booked as its own session. A sophomore who has never settled on emerald versus champagne can walk out of that session with a short list of colors, which makes the next fitting-room pull a lot shorter.

Highland Drive doubles as Arkansas Highway 18 through the east side of town, and it is the road most families from Jonesboro High, Nettleton, Westside and Brookland already use for errands. Paragould High and Greene County Tech students come down from Greene County, and the shop's spot on the east side keeps the drive short for them as well. The prom store keeps weekend hours, Sunday afternoons included, so a family that can only shop together on the weekend still has two days to work with.

Go to the Prom & Pageant store on East Highland Drive. The Nettleton Avenue store handles bridal, mother's and special-occasion gowns.

Can I rent a prom dress there?

No. The shop sells its gowns and does not rent, though markdown racks bring some past-season styles well under the usual price.

Does the shop do alterations on prom gowns?

Alterations are not done in the store. Staff will share a list of local tailors they recommend.
