One door in Chesterfield Valley Square carries two names. Prom Dollz is the prom and homecoming side, and DOLLZ Bridal & Prom is the full business, run by Asmaa Hashimi and her daughter, Yasmin. In September 2023 the landlord, The Staenberg Group, announced the boutique's opening in a 4,120-square-foot space in the flat retail stretch along I-64 that locals simply call the Valley. Hashimi's comment in that announcement looked back on twelve years of business and forward to joining the Chesterfield community.
Hashimi has been designing and sewing gowns since she was 17. Her About page story covers a childhood spent relocating every few years because her father flew for an airline, with stretches in Italy, the United Kingdom, Greece, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Kuwait and Malaysia. She moved to the United States in 1999 and earned a medical science degree, but fashion kept pulling at her, and she went on to open a formal wear boutique of her own, which has served the St. Louis area since at least 2011.

The shop describes its stock as one of the largest selections of designer dresses in Missouri, with thousands of gowns on hand in a wide range of sizes. The site lists its designer labels alongside two house collections.

Portia & Scarlett leads the homepage, with recent prom styles posted in the $400 to $700 range and Couture pieces higher. Jovani has a homecoming section too, which helps a sophomore who wants a designer look at a shorter length.
The shop also dresses the people around the gown. The About page says the staff help with accessories and can outfit a date from the store's selection of tuxedos and formal wear. A Little Dollz section covers flower girl, communion and little girls' pageant dresses, and the bridal side has its own appointments.
How buying works here
Appointments are booked online, and the banner on every page invites shoppers to call for same-day availability. Read through the store rules before the card comes out.

Orders cannot be cancelled once placed.

Give it to the shop. Nothing is ordered and no card is charged until delivery by then is assured.

Chesterfield Valley draws prom shoppers from both sides of the Missouri River. Marquette High School and Parkway Central High School are in Chesterfield, Lafayette High School is in Wildwood, and Parkway West High School is in Ballwin. Across the river, Francis Howell High School in St. Charles County is a quick trip over the I-64 bridge. For families across west St. Louis County, Missouri, the Valley is already where weekend shopping happens.

Will my dress arrive before prom?
The shop takes your wear date with every order and only charges your card if it can guarantee delivery by then. If a dress cannot be delivered in time, the money is refunded in full.
Does Prom Dollz have tuxedos for my date?
Yes. The staff can outfit a date from the store's selection of tuxedos and formal wear.
