You cannot drop in here on a Saturday and browse. KiKi D’s takes prom shoppers by appointment only, one hour at a time, and the shop asks for a credit card to hold the slot. Miss it without 24 hours’ notice and the card is charged $50. Same-day appointments are often unavailable, so calling or texting (908) 308-5910 a week or two out matters more here than at a mall store.
That structure shapes the whole visit. Appointments run 60 minutes and start at the scheduled time, not when you walk in. Each person trying on gowns needs her own booking — two friends shopping together means two appointments, arranged by phone — and the shop caps guests at two per shopper. If the hour runs out, the next step is a second appointment rather than an extension.

The address is 856 US-206, in Mountain View Plaza. This is not a storefront on a mall concourse. The commercial listing for the property describes a mixed-use complex of four buildings totaling roughly 75,000 square feet, renovated in 2023, with a pylon sign and on-site parking at a signalized corner on Route 206. Look for the suite number, not a window display.
The location is a Route 206 location in the most literal sense. The plaza fronts the highway at the southern end of the 3.6-mile Hillsborough bypass, the new alignment that opened on June 5, 2021 and carries through traffic east of the old road between Mountain View Road and Old Somerville Road. Coming from Somerville or Bridgewater, you have a choice of the bypass or old 206 through the township center; from Princeton and Montgomery, the store is a straight run north on 206.
Who is driving here
Hillsborough High School is the only high school in the township — one building on Raider Boulevard with 2,377 students in 2024-25, including students from Millstone. That is a large senior class buying gowns off one prom date. Montgomery High School in Skillman, about 1,600 students, sits down the same highway. Somerville High School and Immaculata in Somerville, Bridgewater-Raritan, and Hunterdon Central in Flemington are all inside a reasonable drive of this stretch of Central Jersey, which is part of why appointments fill in the March-to-May stretch when most New Jersey proms land.
What is on the racks
Verified prom labels here are Clarisse, Dave & Johnny, Faviana and Jovani. The boutique’s own site also keeps standing pages for Ellie Wilde and Nicole Bakti, and it runs sale racks grouped at $99, $149 and up, and $199 and up. Sizes carried run 00 to 20. Gowns sell off the rack or by special order in a different color or size, which is the part worth planning around: a special order needs manufacturer time, then a “try on gown” appointment when it arrives, and the dress goes home with you that day.
Two practical notes from the shop’s own FAQ. What you see online is reference only — inventory turns over and is never fully accurate on the website, so text ahead if you are coming in for one specific dress. And alterations are not done in-house; the staff hands out a referral list based on where you live. Budget the hemming separately, and budget the time.
Hours are short. Yelp’s listing shows the boutique closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, with midweek afternoons and a Saturday morning block. Worth knowing before you plan a weekend trip around it.
