Lake City is known as the Gateway to Florida, and Glass Slipper Formals & Bridal uses the nickname on its homepage. The shop sits in a suite on SW Main Boulevard and describes itself as family owned and operated since 2011. Its case for the drive is selection. The About page says the boutique carries thousands of dresses and gowns across many designers, sizes, colors and price points, and that shoppers come from Gainesville, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Ocala and Valdosta to try them on.
That reach makes sense on a map. I-75 and I-10 cross just north of town, so a family from south Georgia or the Panhandle side of north Florida can get here without much fuss. Locally, Columbia High is in town and Fort White High is at the south end of the county.
No appointment for prom
The About page is plain about it. No appointment is necessary for prom, homecoming, pageant, evening or special occasion shopping. Appointments are recommended only for bridal, and even then walk-ins are welcome. So a prom trip can be decided on the morning of.

Fall brings a 2026 homecoming collection led by short styles from Ashley Lauren, Primavera Couture, Johnathan Kayne and Jovani.
