By its own account, Dress Gala is New York’s largest prom dress boutique, and the claim is about the racks, not the room count. The shop on Jericho Turnpike explains its appointment-only policy on its booking page:
We are a smaller boutique with only 4 usable fitting rooms. We want to ensure everyone receives a personalized shopping experience and dedicated attention.
Every shopper gets a room and a stylist’s attention for the length of the visit, instead of competing for a mirror on a busy weekend in prom season. That trade-off suits prom shopping, where a mother, a daughter and a best friend all want a say in front of the same mirror, and nobody wants to be rushed out of it.

Skip the online calendar. The store asks returning customers to text the shop directly for alterations visits and try-ons of purchased dresses.
Can the store get a dress in time for a prom that is only weeks away?
