Four letters, four owners. The name TALK is built from the first initials of the women who own the shop. TALK Formals works out of the courtyard at Bocage Village on Old Hammond Highway, and the shop introduces itself as a Baton Rouge luxury dress shop specializing in designer gowns for prom, pageants, balls and galas.
When inRegister rounded up places to find a Mardi Gras ball gown in January 2025, it described TALK as a new formal shop in Bocage Village that sells formal dresses exclusively and offers a luxury shopping experience. That is a fair summary of what you walk into. There are no racks of jeans or gameday tops to wade through. Every hanger is a gown or a cocktail-length party dress.

The shop is in the capital region of south Louisiana. Nearby schools include Baton Rouge Magnet High, Woodlawn High and Tara High, plus Central High in Central and Zachary High in Zachary on the north side of East Baton Rouge Parish. St. Joseph's Academy and Catholic High are in town as well, and Dutchtown and St. Amant high schools are in Ascension Parish.
Bocage Village is a compact, walkable courtyard of shops, and TALK gives directions in the plainest local terms: it sits in the courtyard across from a men's clothier.
