If you live in Carrollwood, you already know the drill. South Tampa is a haul in traffic, and so is Pasco. Esmeralda's Boutique saw the same gap. When the family-owned company opened this North Dale Mabry Highway store in 2023, its stated goal was to bridge the gap between its two existing locations. The result is a prom shop that sits right in the middle of north Tampa's school map.
Gaither High School is farther up the same stretch of Dale Mabry, close enough that the shop is an easy after-school stop for Cowboys juniors and seniors. Sickles High School is out in the Citrus Park area to the west, and Leto High and Chamberlain High round out the nearby list. Steinbrenner High families in Lutz can come down Dale Mabry too. That's a lot of prom tickets within a few miles of one storefront.

The Esmeralda's name has been around since 2009, so the Carrollwood store opened with an established buying list rather than a guess. The company's in-store prom collection is led by Sherri Hill, with Jovani, Amarra, Primavera Couture, Portia and Scarlett, Ellie Wilde, Terani, Alyce Paris and Morilee alongside Atria and Colors Dress. Homecoming takes over in the fall, and the floor also carries quinceañera, pageant and evening dresses, plus a mother-of-the-bride section for the grown-ups in the family.
Alterations are handled in house, a big help when the prom date is three weeks out.
