Nikki's Glitz and Glam Boutique Palm Harbor

The Palm Harbor store sits on US 19 North, and it is one of two Nikki's Glitz and Glam shops in Tampa Bay. The other is in Wesley Chapel. The company has been in business since 2011, by its own account, selling only "100% AUTHENTIC DESIGNER DRESSES," and it adds that its owners bring more than 30 years of experience running ladies' fashion and formalwear retail. Its motto shows up all over the site: "We make you Sparkle."

The Tampa Bay Times put the shop on its 2019 list of nine local places to buy a prom dress. The paper pointed to a wide range of styles, price points and sizes, designers not found in department stores, layaway, and a tuxedo for your date in the same place. Most of that still holds.

A registry, and the Jovani Platinum claim

Two lines on the About page matter most for a prom shopper. The store registers every dress it sells, homecoming court gowns included. It also claims to be "the only Florida store to have Jovani Platinum gowns." In a town where Palm Harbor University High, East Lake High and Tarpon Springs High all draw from the same stretch of north Pinellas, that is the line to remember. Tell the stylist your school and your dance when you buy.

The prom menu names nine houses: Jovani, Ellie Wilde, Primavera Couture, Ashley Lauren, Ava Presley, Portia & Scarlett, Johnathan Kayne, Alyce Paris and Sophia Thomas. The online prom catalog adds Colors Dress, Terani and a small group of Sydney's Closet prom styles. The About page reaches back further still, naming Sherri Hill, La Femme, Rachel Allan, Blush, Dave & Johnny and Scala among its lines. Ask which of those are on the floor this season.

What the in-store prom rack cost in October 2026

The full online prom catalog is enormous. On October 22, 2026, it listed 5,878 styles, led by Ellie Wilde with 1,244 and Jovani with 942. That is the designers' whole range, not the store's racks. The more useful list is the site's In Store Prom category, which held 147 styles that day. Jovani made up 64 of them and Primavera Couture 27.

Prices on that in-store list ran from $198 to $1,398. Half of the gowns fell between $499 and $779, and the midpoint was $649. Jovani's in-store styles centered on about $755, while Primavera Couture and Alyce Paris sat lower, near $500 and $430. The site adds two cautions. Online prices are the designers' suggested retail prices, and because of tariffs they may differ from in-store pricing, so confirm the price with the store. Availability also varies by location and season.

The cheapest way in is the Black Friday sale. The events page lists a Black Friday Quince & Prom Sale at both stores, November 27 to 29, 2026, with prom dresses starting at $99 on select styles.

Fittings, sleeves and zippers

The alterations page describes on-site specialists who know the store's dresses inside and out, and it covers prom and homecoming along with every other kind of gown. Fit is only the start. You can add sleeves or take them away, add or remove a zipper, or bustle a train, and a design team can help turn a stock gown into something one of a kind. Book the alterations appointment when you buy the dress. Prices depend on the work, and a fitter quotes them only after seeing you in the gown. Tuxedos for the date

Tuxedo rentals come through what the About page calls two of the largest distributors in the industry, and the tuxedo collection online is all Jim's Formal Wear. Price levels vary. At the top, the store lists Michael Kors, Tony Bowls and Ralph Lauren, and it carries ultra slim fits for prom dates who want a sleek look. Measurements need an appointment, with a tuxedo specialist.

Students can also apply to the Glamour Girls program. It recruits high school and pageant girls as social media ambassadors who post for the store and model at its Homecoming Kick Off Party, its Prom Trunk Show and other events. Perks include discounts and gifts from top designers.

Palm Harbor's hours are shorter than the Wesley Chapel store's. It opens at 11 on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and closes at 7, closes at 6 on Friday, and runs 10 to 7 on Saturday.
