The designer lineup
The main designer labels are Sherri Hill, Jovani, Rachel Allan, Ellie Wilde, Portia and Scarlett, Amarra, Ashley Lauren and Johnathan Kayne.
Alongside them hang Alyce Paris, Clarisse, Colette, Colors Dress, Jasz Couture, La Femme, Morilee Party, Studio 17 and Tiffany Designs. The plus-size lines are Rachel Allan Curves, La Femme Plus Size and Tiffany Designs Plus.
Timing and layaway
Designer production averages three to four months, and rush orders are not possible, so an early start gives the widest choice. Gowns size 18 and over can carry an extra size fee set by the designer. Special orders placed with a designer cannot be returned, exchanged or cancelled.
The traditional 60-day layaway works on any dress, in-stock or special order.

Pageant gowns for teens and women, and quinceañera lines
Prom Headquarters sells pageant dresses for teens and women, and little girls' pageant dresses for younger competitors, from Jovani, Sherri Hill, Ashley Lauren and Johnathan Kayne.
For quinceañeras, the store lists Princesa by Ariana Vara, Quince by House of Wu, Fiesta Gowns, Rachel Allan Quinceanera, Vizcaya Quince and Morilee Damas Quinceañera, with dresses for damas too. It also offers plus-size mothers' dresses.
