Lasting Impressions came to downtown Dublin in 2022 and set up on West Jackson Street. It is the third of the company's stores, after the original in Eufaula, Alabama, and the Columbus flagship. The company says the Dublin shop has become a staple for prom and pageant contestants from surrounding states. It also gave this branch something the other two do not have.

Beyond that, the floor follows the company pattern. The store specializes in prom, cocktail, social event and pageant dresses, and the company's pageant pedigree, with clients it says have included Miss U.S.A.'s and Miss America's, sits behind the staff here as it does in Columbus. The company says pageant girls, from local contestants to veterans, travel hundreds of miles to it for competition gowns, and that they leave with "the perfect competition wardrobe."
How the prom registry works
The store puts its registry promise this way.
All our Prom, Pageant, and Social Occasion dresses purchased in-store are registered for your event. Lasting Impressions will not sell the same dress in the same color to the same school or event.
Good to know: the registry covers only dresses bought in person at a Lasting Impressions store, and the store will not register a gown bought anywhere else.
Sherri Hill, Rachel Allan and the other prom labels
The company built its name on Sherri Hill, and it still features her alongside Johnathan Kayne, Rachel Allan and Ava Presley. The store names Sherri Hill and Rachel Allan as prom favorites, then rounds out its top five with Ellie Wilde, Primavera Couture and Ava Presley. It singles out Primavera for heavily sequined and beaded gowns and Ava Presley for bold colors and youthful designs. It also says ball gown prom styles come from Sherri Hill, Ellie Wilde and Ava Presley.
The store also carries Alyce Paris, Amarra, Jessica Angel, Portia & Scarlett, Tarik Ediz and Tiffany Designs, plus Panoply, Studio 17 and Sydney's Prom. The store says it keeps hundreds of gowns on hand. It also takes special orders. It lists sizes from 000 to 36, with women's sizes from 14W to 30W.
Booking a Dublin try-on
When you book, the store asks for your event date and a budget. Sharing the budget helps staff prepare options within your means. There is comfortable seating for three guests.
Appointments are strongly recommended and usually run 60 to 90 minutes, depending on how many dresses you try. Here is what to bring.

Layaway is free for prom dresses that are in stock: a quarter of the price down, then a payment every two weeks, with the whole balance due within 60 days and before the wear date. Prom dates can rent suits and tuxedos through the company's Generation Tux partnership.
Downtown Dublin and the Laurens County schools
Dublin is the Laurens County seat, on I-16 between Macon and Savannah, where US 441 crosses the interstate. Dublin High, West Laurens High and East Laurens High are the county's public high schools, and Trinity Christian School is in town as well.
