Prom at Alan Evans arrives with the season. Each year the Fargo store on 42nd Street South gives part of its floor to prom gowns, and the website opens a fresh Prom page to announce it, Prom 2025, then Prom 2026, with the same greeting each time.

The arrangement goes back to 2019. When the company closed its Moorhead store at Center Mall that May and consolidated in Fargo, The Forum reported that prom dresses would be sold from a pop-up for four or five months each year under the RSVP by Alan Evans name. The pop-up lives inside RSVP Bride by Alan Evans, the year-round bridal store, which the site places just across the street from West Acres. The business itself dates to 1997, when it opened as Alan Evans Bridal in Moorhead.
Labels and sizes in the pop-up
The store's online prom collection filters by designer, and the current list mixes long-running prom houses with a few newer names:

- Colette by Daphne and Ellie Wilde
- Faviana and JVN
- Primavera Couture and Tiffany Designs
- Jessica Angel and Ava Presley
The size filter runs from 000 to 30, with W sizes from 12W to 28W and letter sizes from XXS to XXL, so the range covers petite shoppers and plus shoppers alike. The store's special-occasion section, which stays on the floor all year, adds evening labels such as Terani and Primavera for anyone shopping outside the pop-up months.
Prom here pulls from the whole metro on the North Dakota side and the Minnesota side of the river: Fargo Davies, Fargo South and Fargo North, Shanley, the West Fargo district's three high schools, and Moorhead High. Families from the small towns of southeast North Dakota make the drive in for a full day of shopping, and West Acres across the street makes it easy to pick up shoes and accessories in the same afternoon.
Booking goes through the appointment form on the website, and the store caps each appointment at five people including the shopper, so choose the opinions that count. Its published testimonials also mention staff helping a shopper who came in without a booking, and the contact page describes a team ready to help with bridal, special-occasion and prom looks alike.
