Styled by Lily Saratoga: A Lawrence Street Bridal-Party Shop With Jovani and Mac Duggal

A Saratoga Springs bridal-party boutique carrying Jovani and Mac Duggal: appointments required, one hour with a stylist, samples mostly in sizes 4-18.

Est. 2022

Saratoga Springs High School’s prom walk-in happens on Broadway, at the City Center — this past spring it was Saturday, May 16. Styled by Lily sits a few blocks west of that door, on Lawrence Street near Church, in a newer commercial building with its own parking rather than a storefront on the Broadway strip. If the dress and the walk-in are both downtown, the shopping trip and the event share the same parking problem.

What matters more than the address is what kind of shop this is. Styled by Lily is a bridal-party boutique. Owner Laura Adie bought Lily Saratoga, the bridal store at 6 Franklin Square, in 2014, and opened this second space in February 2022 to expand the bridesmaid collection and add mother-of-the-bride and mother-of-the-groom lines. Prom is not the center of the business. It is served out of the formal-wear side of it.

The gowns are real, though. Jovani and Mac Duggal both list the Lawrence Street store on their official retailer locators, and Mac Duggal styles appear on the shop’s own formal-wear page alongside Elliatt. Dessy lists the store as well.

What an appointment is actually like

Appointments are required — the shop is direct about the fact that the space and the number of consultants are both limited. Formal-wear appointments run an hour with one dedicated consultant who pulls and clips dresses and takes measurements. The store carries roughly one size and one color per style, so a stylist works from swatches and a designer size chart rather than from a rack of the same dress in eight colors. Most formal samples are sizes 4 to 18, with select styles in 20 to 28.

Alterations are not done in house. The shop keeps a list of tailors in the area and expects most dresses to need work.

The calendar problem

Special orders here take time: the store recommends placing formal-wear orders two to six months out, allowing two to five months for production and about a month for alterations. Set that against how prom lands in Saratoga County. In 2026, Mechanicville and Galway held walk-ins on May 15; Schuylerville, South Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs on May 16; Ballston Spa at the Saratoga Hilton on May 30; Burnt Hills–Ballston Lake at Saratoga Spa State Park on May 8. A May prom means a December-to-February order date, not an April one.

Arriving in April is not fatal. The shop stocks off-the-rack and quick-ship options for tight turnarounds. It is just a smaller pool to choose from, and worth saying on the phone when booking.

Three Jovani shops in one small city

Jovani’s own retailer list names three stores in Saratoga Springs: Rockabella Boutique on Lake Avenue, Something Bleu Bridal on Woodlawn Avenue, and this one on Lawrence Street. All three are inside the downtown grid, close enough that a single afternoon can cover them on foot. For a shopper coming in from Schuylerville, Galway or Corinth, that consolidates the drive — but book ahead where you can, because at least this one will not take walk-ins.

Who it fits

This is the right stop for someone who wants an hour of undivided attention, a specific Jovani or Mac Duggal style ordered in her measurements, and months of runway before the event. It is the wrong stop for someone who wants to walk 400 gowns on a Saturday and carry one out the same day. Posted hours are Wednesday 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Thursday and Friday 11 to 5, Saturday 10 to 5 — Wednesday is the only evening that works around a school day, and it fills accordingly.
