This is not a prom superstore, and knowing that before you drive over is the whole point. Infinity has been dressing grown women in south Palm Beach County since 1978, when Bunny and Donny Spiegelman opened it on East Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton. Their daughter Lori Kaplan later ran it with Mindy Grey, who joined as a buyer in 1987, and after the Spiegelmans retired in 2001 the two of them moved the store west to 16850 Jog Road to follow the growth in the West Boca–Delray area. The gown room here exists because of weddings, club dinners and milestone birthdays. Jovani and Terani — both of which list Infinity on their official retailer locators — are the labels where that room overlaps with prom.
What that means in practice: a teenager shopping here is looking at a curated formal selection inside an adult boutique, not a warehouse wall of 400 prom dresses sorted by color. The staff includes a dedicated formal wear specialist, and customers reviewing the store repeatedly mention an in-house seamstress who handles gown alterations. Selection on any given day is a real question, so call (561) 865-2779 and ask what prom-length Jovani and Terani they have on the floor in your size before you make the trip.
Hours and how it works
- Monday through Saturday, 10:00 to 5:00. Closed Sunday, which leaves Saturday as the only weekend day — the busiest one in March and April.
- No appointment necessary, per the store’s own posted policy. That is unusual for a formal shop and it favors the shopper who wants to look before committing an afternoon.
- Suite 103 in the Shoppes at Addison Place, at Jog Road and Morikami Park Road.
The corner it sits on
The center sits a mile north of Clint Moore Road, between the entrances to the Polo Club and Addison Reserve, on the stretch of Jog locals treat as the country club corridor. Coming from I-95, it is Linton Boulevard west to Jog, then south; from the Turnpike, exit 81 at Atlantic Avenue, east to Jog, then south. There is a Starbucks in the same plaza, and the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is a few minutes down the same Morikami Park Road, which makes the drive worth more than one errand if you are coming from Boynton or west Boca.
Who shops here
Delray’s public high school is Atlantic Community, the magnet campus on West Atlantic Avenue with about 1,800 students and a long-running rivalry with Boca Raton Community. South of the store, Olympic Heights sits on Lyons Road, and the same trade area pulls from Spanish River, West Boca Raton and Park Vista. None of those students are driving far for a gown. That is the honest frame for Infinity: it is competing on fit, alterations and attention, not on being the only option.
The alternatives are close. Nina Raynor, family-run in Delray Beach since 1958 and open seasonally from fall through June, is another Jovani retailer downtown. Jovani’s Florida list also shows three stores in Boca Raton and one on North Congress in Boynton Beach. If the first rack does not produce the dress, the second one is fifteen minutes away.
One thing to know about the reviews
Infinity changed hands in 2025. Carolina and Aaron Schifman took over from Kaplan and Grey that March, with the previous owners still involved in buying. Older reviews online — the good ones and the sharp ones about service — describe the store as it was run before that. Weigh them accordingly.
