The 210 area code is not a typo. A Cosa Bella Boutique with that same number operated at 6909 N. Loop 1604 E. in San Antonio and is now listed as closed. Whatever the history there, the 210 line is the one the Alice store publishes on its own page. A Nextdoor listing also carries a 361 number for the address, so try that if the first one does not pick up.
Where it sits
East Main is the spine of downtown Alice, and Main Street here is State Highway 44 — the road that stitches this corner of South Texas together, running east to Corpus Christi and west past Freer toward Encinal and I-35. Alice’s retail is strung along that corridor and along Main itself. If you need a landmark, the concrete water tower near downtown is the tallest of its kind anywhere, at 165 feet.
The schools nearby are small
Alice High School, at 1 Coyote Trail, goes back to 1887 and draws from Alice and the surrounding communities of Jim Wells County. Its student body is 93.5 percent Hispanic and 89 percent economically disadvantaged. South of town, Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco High School enrolls about 195 students across grades 7 through 12. Premont ISD, covering Premont plus rural southern Jim Wells and southeastern Duval County, runs roughly 747 students from PreK through twelfth grade. That is the scale of the formal season out here: a few hundred juniors and seniors spread across a wide, thinly populated county, and one boutique on Main with prom labels on the racks.
What’s actually verified about the stock
Three brands list Cosa Bella on their official retailer locators: Alyce Paris, Clarisse and Dave & Johnny. All three are prom and special-occasion houses rather than bridal makers, which matters because directories file this address under everything from bridal store to hair salon. The shop’s own description of its inventory is broader and looser — casual, cocktail and evening gowns. Its Facebook listing puts the price range at $$ and shows 63 reviews with 96 percent recommending.
If you need a quinceañera gown rather than a prom dress, ask on the phone. The verified brand list is prom-first, and nothing published confirms what else comes through the door. Same for sizes and for whether alterations happen in-house.
The alternative is a day trip
The real fallback is Corpus Christi: 44 to 47 miles east on Highway 44 through Robstown, about 50 minutes with clear traffic, ending at La Palmera on South Padre Island Drive — 986,000 square feet, more than 100 stores, Dillard’s, Macy’s and JCPenney. That is a day, plus gas, plus the mall. East Main is a lunch break, and you can walk to Horseshoes Western Store and Tillos Vino from the same parking spot.
